if i get 70% in 12th board can i eligible to jee advance
As per the eligibilty of JEE advanced candidate needs to secure 75% in Board exams (general) or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards
for sc/st categories the required percentile in 65%.
But keep one important pount in mind that for admissions to NITs/ IITs/ GFTIs:
Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
I hope this helps.
Hi Rick , yes you are eligible for JEE advance. But you have to clear JEE main first to appear in JEE Advance. Cut off marks are changing every year for jee mains. Depending upon jee mains score and Rank candidates are eligible for JEE Advance. As per last year only top 2.5 lack students were eligible for jee advance. So you should come in those 2.5 lack students to appear in jee advance.
I hope it will help.
Thanks.
