Don't Miss: JEE Seat Matrix
Getting a three-digit rank in her advance is a great thing to achieve but there are some minimum eligibility criteria which say that you have to score a minimum of 75% in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board. And if you belong to the SC or ST category then the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
Other eligibility criteria-:
The score obtained in 12th
The scores you have secured in class 12 or equivalent board examination in 2019 will be considered.
If you have qualified class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2018 but writes any of the required subjects in 2019 for improvement or for any other reason, then the aggregate percentage will be calculated by considering the maximum marks obtained in the required subjects
1. Age limit
As per the information, there is no age limit to eligible for JEE Main or for NIT admission. However, you need to pass 12th or the equivalent examination in 2017 or 2018 or appearing for 12th or equivalent exam in 2019.
2. Qualifying exam
You must have passed class XII or qualifying exam in 2017 or 2018 or appearing in class XII or equivalent exam.
3. Subjects/subject combination
It is mandatory for you to have taken 5 subjects in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam and the 5 subjects for B.Tech or B.E. are
Language, Physics, Mathematics, Any one of (Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject), Any other subjects.
4.Number of attempts
You can appear in the exam for three consecutive years. Since the entrance will be conducted twice a year, the candidate can choose to appear in both the attempts. However, the attempt for a particular academic year will be considered as One.
And this no. of attempts is for IITs not for NITs.
I think I have given much information about the question you have asked. If any other doubts are there regarding NIT, feel free to ask.
Best of luck.
Thank you.
Hi..,
To get into iit first you must be eligible by crossing the threshold score in 12th class.
The candidate aggregate score in 12th should be:
- OC/BC: 75%
- SC/ST: 65%
- So if you are from schedule caste, then you are eligible for jee else you aren't not and rank doesn't depends
- If you get all India first and you aren't eligible, then you will not get admission in IIT.
Thank you
