So,try to score good in board to be in atleast top 20 percentile. But if you belongs to CBSE then 75%+ is compulsory cause for top 20 percentile it is very high.
Hope you get my answer.
For your kind information the minimum eligibility criteria for JEE Mains examination for a general category students is minimum 75% in boards and 65% for SC/St candidate. So if you score less than 75% in boards then doesn't matter how good you score in JEE you will not be eligible to get admission in any of the NIT, IIIT. So please study hard and score above 75% in boards to get eligible for JEE Mains.
All the best !
If the board marks are less than the required ie 75%. You still scored well in Jee mains then you will not be eligible for the NITs.
Still you have other options other than NITs ,you can opt for the other top colleges through your JEE MAINS score.
Some good colleges are HBTU Kanpur, Thapar University, DAIICT, LNM-IIT, SGSITS Indore etc. There are several good colleges you can opt from your jee score.
it's not that tough to score 75%+ in Boards. I accept preparing for boards and preparing for entrance are two different ways but I guess doing entrance preparation very well will also help you score 75 and above in boards.
Best wishes buddy. Thank you.
Hy there aspirant,
If you get less than 75% and you get good marks in jee main then you can surely get in any of the IIT's and NIT's . So I'll tell to prepare hard for the upcoming exams and follow good schedule coz the main criteria here is to manage the time. Wishing you luck
