Hello Aspirant!!
If u get seat in dtu then u can join it for Mechanical engineering but I would not say to go blindly.As some of other colleges are also much better than dtu so if you alloted that kind of colleges then go for them but one of the advantage for joining dtu is that there u have lot of opportunity like coaching classes if you are interested in preparation of gate,IES,etc so it would be more helpful.
Placement scenario is also good for Mechanical in dtu so u can opt for it.
