Compartment exams are only administered for the subjects in which you have failed. So, even if you sit for the compartment test, there is no reason to believe that your prior year's grades in other courses would be overlooked. Other subjects' scores will stay unchanged, and the new mark sheet will show that you passed both subjects, including the compartmental test. As a result, you do not need to be concerned.
