CBSE itself conducts improvement exams for students that have passed class 12th examination the previous year. So, I don't think you require to give the improvement exam through NIOS.

As for your question, surely you can club the improvement exam marks with the class 12th marksheet. If you give improvement through CBSE, you will get a new marksheet that you can receive from your school.
