FMGE is a screening test for medical graduates to be eligible to practice medicine in the country. The exam is conducted biannually in the month of June and December for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to get the registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).
As per the FMGE 2021 exam pattern, there were 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) which were divided into two parts - Part A and Part B. The FMGE exam time duration of each part was of 150 minutes and there was a scheduled break in between the two parts. There is one marks for correct answer and no negative marks.
Candidates have to obtain at least 150 marks out of 300 in order to be eligible for FMGE June session 2021. After securing the minimum qualifying marks, applicants are eligible for issuing provisional or permanent registration from the NMC or State Medical Council (SMC).
so if you are asking about the scope then this exam is only conducted for giving you registrations number in india to practice as valid doctor if you have completed your mbbs abroad somewhere.
for pg seats you will have to give neet pg exam then if you obtain good marks you will get a seat in good department.
In FMGE you have to score 150+ marks for getting certificate there is no other uses of that.
