Hi aspirant,
CBSE conducted the improvement examination in order to to enable candidates better scores than what they were awarded through internal assessment. If you get a score which is lower than the marks you are earlier had it will not be considered and you will retain the original marks.

As the name suggests. CBSE Improvement exam, it means that if you get marks higher than previously obtained marks then new marks will be added as your original marks but if you get less marks, then original marks will be retained i.e. the higher marks out of the two will be presented in the Detailed Mark Sheet.
