If I had a chance of choosing colleges b/n RV college and NITK SURATKAL which college should I select.Which is better in all ways
If you go by my opinion then NITK SURATKAL is anytime a better option as compared to RV college, because of the fact that the rate of management quota in RV college is very high, therefore, it will attract way too many rich and spoilt brats. Now if we talk about NITK Suratkal, the management quota gate is closed for everyone. Thus as far as my opinion is concerned, NITK Suratkal is way more better than RV college
Hello aspirant,
Below I have provided the required details for the above mentioned colleges -
R V College of Enigineering :
- RV College of Engineering, Bangalore is a private college and was eshtablished in the year 1963. The campus is about 52 acres and has a faculty of 396 people.
- The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and has been accredited 'B' grade by NAAC. The college has also been ranked at 63rd among engineering colleges by NIRF.
- The college has all the required facilities like separate boy's and girl's hostel, library, gym, cafeteria, medical/hospital, alumni associations, transport, bank and parking facility etc.
- Talking about placements, B.E./B.Tech gets a average package of 7 Lakhs.
NIT Surathkal :
- NIT Surathkal is a private/government college and was eshtablished in the year 2002. The campus size is about 300 acres with a faculty of 253 people.
- The college has been ranked at 21st among engineering colleges by NIRF.
- The college has all the required facilities like boy's hostel, girl's hostel, gym, library, cafeteria, medical/hospital, wifi, swimming pool, convenience store, alumni associations, guest room, bank facilties etc.
- As far as the placement goes, B.E./B.Tech gets a average package about 7.10 Lakhs.
Now according to me NIT Surathkal is best compared to RV College of Engineering. The college has all the required facillities, good campus, placements are also better and most importanly its a government college, so the fee for 4 yers B.Tech engineering will be less comared to RV college of engineering which on the other hand is a private college.

Good Luck !!!!
Hello,
NITK Surathkal will be the best choice for you. RV is also a great college but the placement at NIT is better than RV. The fees structure is also almost same for both the colleges. Both the colleges are near and connected to Bangalore so the placement for branches like CS, IT, EC are very good. But the average package for NIT for CS branch is 15 lpa and RV is 8 lpa.
And NIT is government college so i would prefer NIT over RV.
