If I had a degree in COMPUTER SCIENCE which course is apt to pursue a career as a data scientist is it BSC mathematics or BSC Statistics

Data science is a very popular field nowadays. I've a lot of friends wanting to become data scientist. As much as I know, B.Sc Mathematics is more preferable. Also, you should know at least 3 computer languages. So, you can start by taking help from the tutorials and reach the beginner level.
