Dear Raj,
Don't feel disheartened. You can avail scholarships based on merit. There are many trusts or even companies which provide scholarships to the meritorious and needy students. You can google for those scholarships and apply for them. Apart from this you can also apply for an educational loan. If you get a good college then you don't even need mortgages. and also the interest rates are low as compared to other banks.
Actually, you had got a pretty decent rank in JEE Mains that too on general category, if you sit in JOSSA counselling I think you could easily get pretty good colleges many NIT'S and IIIT'S.
For predicting college you can get, please visit the below mentioned link:

There are many Scholarships that are provided for general category students, especially if you belong EWS quota you got chances to get better colleges under EWS category.
When college is allowed to you then look for respective college website for scholarship options each college have scholarship options for each category students.
And there are some seats under Tuition Fees Waiver but they're few seats.
There are many other scholarships for which you can look into below link:

Thankyou
Raj,
With a rank of 18900, you have many decent options of colleges available including NITs and IIITs. Don't worry about money there are many scholarships available to students of general category also. You can also opt for a student loan. You should not be sacrificing your studies. Convince your parents, tell them about the colleges that you are getting. Ask your teachers to speak to your parents.
I see that u are in a tough situation here. Dont worry.
You have surely heard about scholarships right? Head over to the national scholarship portal of Indian Government, and check if you are eligible for any scholarship there. The link is as follows:

Alternatively, attempt entrance exams of top private colleges like BITS, Amrita and VIT. They offer minimal tuition fees to those who get below 100 ranks.
Good Luck!!
Hello Raj,
I appreciate your desire towards engineering
firstly try to convince your parents because without their support it would not be easy for you to pursue this. as you have got very good rank in JEE you could easily get any good engineering college and branch as per your interest.
For financial help you can contact banks for educational loan as you have scored well in Entrance exam they can give you loan easily and after completing your graduation you can pay back them through EMI's. i think that would be great option for you.
