Hey Harsha ,
Thank you for consulting careers360.
The colleges that accept only JEE scores, which is like 75-85% of colleges in India, which are top notch colleges, select purely based on the Passing marks of JEE exam. Colleges like NITs IITs and CFTIS depend on these JEE scores. These scores and passing marks are mainly for some of above mentioned colleges. Even IISc takes in student based on these JEE score and ranks.
If at all you dont pass in JEE, it is fine not an issue, You have many colleges which doesnt require JEE passing marks for applying. They depend on state the institiution is situated and the university it is affiliated to. Many colleges , for example as in karnataka, Take the students based on their KCET scores also. Institution like PES university also get in via their own Exam like PES SAT.
nstitutions Like BITS PILANI ,
Conduct their own exams to qualify and get admission. Hence, it isnt mandatory for passing in JEE . But IF you pass, It does help you. Because, even if you arent eligible for participation of any state exams, Based on your JEE scores and your Rank, many of the participating institution set their own Last ranks, through which you can get into colleges. Also, Many colleges do acept your JEE score as one of the eligiblity criteria , and those institutions doesnt include NITs, IITS, or IISc. Apart from these, many instituion do consider you JEE Rank.
Hence it is good to try and Pass in JEE exam along with it do take up other exams based on your interest of the college. You can use and compare colleges on our portal and find the best college suitable for you.
Lastly, Do not think negative. Study hard but Study Smart. Make your goal to qualify in JEE as it will help you in a lot of ways. Without preparing , do not think you may fail, because you never jknow, even the last minute preparations might help you in getting the qualifying rank.
Study Smart and Study Hard. ALL the Best.
Hello ,
Actually, the entrance test at national level for admission in different colleges all around India is for the motive of selecting students according to their capability and flexibility in that subject . So any failure in such examinations ,but getting good percentage at school level exam won't be helpful.Good luck next time .
Thank you!
