The refund process for the security deposit you paid for the Rajasthan State Quota in the first round of AIQ counseling will depend on the specific policies and procedures of the Rajasthan government and the counseling authority.

Here are the general steps you can follow:

  1. Check the official website: Visit the official website of the counseling authority or the Rajasthan government's education department for the latest updates and information regarding the refund process.
  2. Contact the counseling authority: Reach out to the counseling authority directly through their helpline or email to inquire about the refund procedure and necessary documents.
  3. Submit required documents: Prepare and submit the necessary documents as requested by the counseling authority. These may include your admission letter, proof of joining through AIQ, and bank details for the refund.
  4. Await the refund: Once your application is verified, the counseling authority will process your refund. The timeline for the refund may vary, so it's important to follow up if you haven't received it within a reasonable period. Note: The refund process may be subject to certain conditions or deductions, such as processing fees or penalties if applicable. It's essential to clarify these details with the counseling authority to ensure a smooth refund process.

Hey there, ! Welcome to the Careers360 Forum. Hope you're settling in well!

Ah, the old counselling deposit dilemma - been there, done that. Let's see if we can sort this out for you.

So, if I'm getting this right, you've already secured a seat through AIQ in the first round, but you also applied for the state quota in Rajasthan and paid a hefty 5 lakh security deposit. That's a chunk of change!

Here's the deal: Since you didn't join through the state quota, you should be eligible for a refund. Usually, these things are supposed to happen automatically after the counselling process wraps up. But let's face it, sometimes the system needs a little nudge, you know?

If I were you, I'd do a couple of things:

1. First, double-check the refund policy on the Rajasthan counselling website . There might be some specific instructions or timelines mentioned.

2. If it's been a while since counselling ended and you haven't seen that money back in your account, don't just sit on it. Reach out to the counselling authority. There should be a helpline number or email on their website.

3. Keep all your documents handy - your application number, payment receipts, that sort of thing. Trust me, it'll make the process smoother if you need to follow up.

4. If you're not getting anywhere with the counselling body, maybe try reaching out to your college. Sometimes they can help push things along.

Remember, patience is key here, but don't be afraid to be persistent. It's your money, after all!

Let me know how it goes, alright? And hey, if you need any help drafting an email or finding the right contacts, just give me a shout. We interns gotta stick together!
