Hi,
To do MBA from IIM the basic educational eligibility is The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
The selection of candidate is made through following stages
The merit is prepared on the basis of GMAT percentiles and AR scores, to shortlist candidate for AWT & PI
AR score includes a rating on the basis of sum of your 10th,12th, graduation marks and if you have any work experience it is also added.
So what matters will be the b.tech percentage /marks you obtained. Not the college standard. Suppose a candidate b.tech from a local college with 90% and the other one from a reputed college with 70%. So for calculating AR score any margin will not be given to The candidate on the bais of his previous college.
So if you are preparing for iim prepare for all the stages like GMAT, wat, PI.
Because the admission are not taken on the basis of single factor. So you should be good at all the stages.
Hope it helps.
