So you must have to get rank or clear JEE main.
But you have other options like
BITSAT
IPU
VIT
SRM
etc. Which conduct their own entrance exam.
Otherwise you have to pass JEE main.
Or take admission in some state college which give admission in basis of your 12 the boards exams.

The main question lies here is what is considered a good college because you knows who will qualify JEE main will be more than two lakhs students know the top two lakhs students will get the top in different colleges of India and if you have only want to get a seat based on JEE main rank then it is sure that those get a better rank will first get the seat in better colleges if you consider colleges after 2lakh students as good then yes. There are some colleges which takes admission based on jee marks rather than NIT's or IIT's .You can try in them..
But cannot guareente in a very good college..
