if i opt for upgradation in 1st round of counselling and there is no vacancy what will happen then?

its okay if you o for upgradaion, there a lot chance for you to get the upgraded seat, but if there is no vacany , then you would be considered in the your alloted counselling round , or you will be shifted for the second or third counselling round, untill seat remains
