Hi
Yes , even if you're doing BDS and you are in 1st year right now, you can appear in NEET 2022 examination and if you manage to get MBBS seat you can leave your BDS and get admission in MBBS
This is because,
There is no rule which says that if you are doing BDS or any graduation you become ineligible for Neet examination, as to be eligible for neet what all one needs is :
*to must have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category , or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /stcategory , or at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.
So if one fulfill above criteria then is definitely eligible for Neet 2022 examination ,
so don't worry even if you are doing BDS right now you will be definitely eligible for Neet 2022 and can get admission in MBBS but yes,
you will have to pay penalty for leaving your BDS seat in between, for example in Maharashtra if you leave your MBBS or BDS course in between you have to pay a penalty of 10 lakh rupees.
If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you
Thank you

Hi
As per the bond for government dental college under kerela state , if one leaves the bds course in between then he / she will have to pay penalty of Rs 5,00,000 and is also liable to be debarred from appearing for the Entrance Examinations and/or allotments conducted by the CEE for a period not exceeding two years.
Now on close observation you will see there's and /or between the two cases , means either you will be debarred from appearing in neet or you won't be eligible for kerela state quota seat for 2 years or both.
But, when we look at neet information bulletin of last year it no where says that those who have left bds course in between are not eligible for the period of 2years or anything like that so you will be eligible for neet examination but yes you won't be eligible for kerela state quota seats, you will be only eligible for all India quota seats.
Thank you
