If I read ncert biology thoroughly I will pass mark in my neet
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Hi Hari, since half of the 180 questions (90) in the NEET is from the part biology, if you score full mark (i.e., 90*4=360) in the part of biology you can qualify for the NEET. But there is 2-5% ofquestions will be from out of syllabus in most of the years and thus it is harder to get 360 marks only from the biology part. So it is good for your qualification that you have to go through the physics and chemistry. For getting admission to medical coursesin government colleges or to get high ranks you have to get 600+ marks so, you have to focus in all three subjects(physis, chemistry and biology)
In NEET exam , there is high weightage of biology subject as compared to physics and chemistry. Paper consist of 90 questions of bio and 45 each of physics and chemistry. Every correct answer gets 4 marks and -1 for wrong answer and 0 for unanswered questions. Suppose, if you correct all questions in bio and would not attempt any other questions from other subjects and all biology questions goes right. Then your score will 360, which is a nice score but it very hard to get any good seat in any of the government college specially if you are from general category. Though NCERT is enough to score good marks in biology as 95% of the questions come only from that.
So it's recommend to atleast attempt and score 30 -40 marks in physics and chemistry to qualify neet with better rank.
Hope it helps, for further help or questions please feel free to comment.
Best of luck
