if i score 0 in physics and score well in bio and chem, can i get a govt seat
I know for NEET aspirants, physics is very tough subject and usually students neglect this subject but if you want to secure a seat in government medical College then you can't afford to neglect this subject.according to your situation you can get government medical College but for that you have to score full marks in chemistry and biology but from my point of you this is not a good planning as it will be very difficult to attempt every single question untill and unless you know each and everything in both the subjects.i hope this information helps you.
Thank you
Dear Srinidhi, if this is about NEET, it had 180 MCQs evaluated for 720 marks. Biology carries 360 and Physics and Chemistry carry a weightage of 360 each. So if you omit Physics, then your target is 540 out of 720. Lets say you dont know answers for atleast 10 questions and you leave them unanswered. And then you have 10 wrong answers. Due to negative marking, you lose 10 marks. So your score comes around 500-520. Now the cut off varies from category to category. Say if you belong to General Category, with 500 a Government seat is tough. And also there might be thousands of candidates who might score 500. During tie break, amongst other criteria, your no. of unaswered questions and no. of wrongly written questions and marks in Physics will be considered. Now if you dont score in Physics, your chances are dull in making to the tie and hence chances of a Government seat are less.
