Scoring marks in the range of 170-180 will get you to rank depending on the paper between 18000-28000.At this rank you will definitely be able to get admission in Nit Allahabad in lower branches in first round itself. However waiting till the seventh round can help you to get higher branches like Chemical, Civil also.
Hope this would be beneficial to you.
Dear aspirant,
You might not be aware of the fact that the pattern of the JEE mains examination has been changed. Now there will be 25 questions from each section which used to be 30 questions from each section earlier. The total number of questions will now be 75 not like the last year which is 90 questions. therefore the total marks which earlier used to be 360 4 marks for each question is now going to be 300.
getting a score of 180 out of 300 is more as compared to getting a score of 180 out of 360. If you get a score of 180 in the new examination pattern you might even get top NIT than NIT Allahabad nevertheless you can definitely get NIT Allahabad if you score 180 marks in the coming j e e mains exam.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
So,..if you score 170 to 180 you can get admission in MNNIT. On the basis of previous years cutoff 180 is the good score to get admission. If you get 180+ then you can for your preferred branch as the cutoff is different for different branches. Here is the link of previous years cutoff you just go through it :

Hope that helped you. Good luck!!
Yes, definitely. If you can score near 180 then you can easily get admission in MNNIT Allahabad.
But again you can't just simply rely on past year cutoffs because cutoofs depends of lot of factors like difficult of exam, aspirant appeared and so on so i suggest you should aim to score 10 to 20 marks more to be on a safer side.
Good Luck
