Since you have not mentioned the exam name, I am assuming you are asking about 12th board exam. If you get full marks in your internal practicals and score 20 marks in written exam, then your total marks will be 40 and you will be regarded as passed.

So as per your question, generally for any student to pass in their internal assessment exams, they need to score half of the maximum marks for which the exam is conducted. And hence, if 20 is half of the score, for which you have given the exam, then you can pass the exam.

Yes definitely if you have 13 + marks in internal exam then you can easily pass the examination.but nowadays the rule is you need to pass separation both the theory and practical exam to get pass . So it might create problem for you . Please confirm this point from faculty . Otherwise if don't so ,you will pass easily .
