the ranking solely depends on the topper marks secured. but as you got 258/300 which is a good score you can be in top 5000-6000 ranked students.

Here are some examples:
- My cousin scored 276 and ended up with a rank of 3000 but he could be in the top 600 or at least 1000
- My friend score 152 and ended up with a rank of 52K
- Another friend got 98 and ended up with a rank of 180K

See, percentile is basically a parameter which is decided by not only your performance but to a great extent by how others perform in the test. It not only depend on how much score you put but is decided by the toughness or easiness of the paper. So a candidate getting less marks than you may have more percentile and vice versa. Hence we can only predict approximately.
You have performed brilliantly. You would be getting percentile between 99.7 to 99.9 approximately.
