If I study mech .can I get placed in IT companies ??,but I have a little bit knowledge about computer science

Yes, of course, you can get a placed in IT companies. In India, universities and college are focused on Placements. they are giving you a chance to a sit on IT companies and crack them if you have potential.
a little bit of knowledge is not enough but if you know the representation then you can grab it.

Yes , you can do job in IT companies. But the condition is you have to know programming(or other) very well.
If you are week then you will not placed.
