Is there a specific course that you have in mind? Please give the details so we can tell you whether it is good to do that or not. Otherwise, there is no restriction on anyone doing a marine engineering course after their B.Tech though the question does crop up that why would you do a B.Tech in Mechatronics and then go for marine engineering? Why not get admissions in B.Tech marine engineering?

Yes you can do marine engineering after completion of mechatronic engineering

However, there are certain requirements which one should satisfy in order to join the one year marine engineering course. They are as follows:

• Graduation in BE (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year

• Must have minimum 50% marks in English language at 10 th or 12 th or in Degree Exam.

• Must not be more than 28 years old
