In order to successfully complete the Class 12 CBSE board exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33% passing marks in each of the 5 subjects. If a student is enrolled in more than 5 subjects and fails in the 6th subject, they have the option to take the CBSE 12th supplementary exam specifically for that subject. Regardless of whether they choose to appear for the supplementary exam or not, they will still be declared as having passed the exams.

To pass the Class 12 CBSE board exams, a student needs to individually secure 33% passing marks in 5 subjects. If any student has more than 5 subjects and if he fails in the 6th subject, he/she can appear for the CBSE 12th supplementary exam in that respective subject. He will be declared pass regardless of his choice of appearing for the supplementary exam for clearing the 6th subject.
