Eligibility for BA LLB programs depends on the university or college's admission criteria. Generally, the following apply:

Common Criteria:

1. Minimum Marks Requirement:

Most colleges and universities require 45%-50% marks in 12th grade for general category candidates.

For SC/ST or reserved categories, the minimum marks are usually relaxed by 5% (i.e., around 40%-45%).

2. Entrance Exams:

Many reputed colleges require entrance exam scores such as:

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test): Conducted for NLUs.

SLAT, AILET, or state-level exams like MH CET Law.

Some private universities may also have their own entrance tests.

With 49.5% in 12th:

Yes, you may be eligible for BA LLB in some universities, especially those with a minimum cutoff of 45% or for reserved category candidates.

No, if the college/university you’re targeting has a strict 50% minimum requirement for general candidates.

What You Can Do:

1. Check the College's Eligibility Criteria:

Visit the official website of the institution where you want to apply.

2. Apply to Universities with Relaxed Criteria:

State universities and private colleges often accept candidates with marks slightly below 50%.

Examples include IGNOU (if it offers LLB), KIIT, or private law schools.

3. Improve Your Eligibility:

If required, consider improvement exams to increase your 12th percentage.

If you have 49.50% in 12th , admission to a BA LLB program depends on the university:

  1. Government Colleges: Most require 50% marks , but some allow reserved category students with lower marks (around 45%).
  2. Private Universities: Many private colleges accept students with less than 50%, especially if you pass their entrance test.
  3. Entrance Exams: Good scores in exams like CLAT or LSAT India can improve your chances.
  4. Reserved Categories: If you belong to SC/ST/OBC, the percentage requirement might be relaxed.

You can still get admission in private or open universities even with your mark .
