if I want o do normal BA program which contains ECONOMICS is one of its subjects ... then do v also need maths in 12std???.

The eligibility requirement changes with each college. So you should check the eligibility criteria before applying. Few colleges only consider candidates who have studied Mathematics in 10+2 level as compulsory subjects along with other subjects.
