Previously (till 2015) WBJEE Engineering decentralized counselling (spot round - if any seat left) was operated by each college /institution, individually. But now (after 2015) the whole process is maintained by WBJEE. Just like the previous, there are 3 rounds of counseling, after that the spot round is done for those colleges having vacancy. As the whole process is online, there is no chance that someone would miss the spot round for lack of information. Those who want to attend the spot round would have the priority based on their ranks. So, the probability is very less. If many of them choose CSE in JGEC, then you may not have it. But never be hopeless, apply for it. Closing ranks of previous year doesn’t matter a lot. But the whole thing depends on the demand of that department in the current year. Check out the closing ranks after 3 rounds.

your rank is so close to the last closing rank of Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri. As per 2019 opening and closing rank, it was 1595 to 4015 for General in B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering in Round 3. Its a risk for waiting for the spot round for you. The Reason is In case of vacant seats, the spot allotment will be done. Candidate having their names in the rank list will be eligible to attend the spot allotment. A candidate admitted in Government merit seat in a Government Controlled Self Financing College will be allowed to participate in spot admission for a Government College for any course. I suggest you to have other options as there are many good colleges you can get with your rank.

Hi ! You just need to add your preference in the spot round counselling. Nothing else anymore. Now you get CSE means ? Have you got the chance without participating in  mop up round. So please be specific with your question.  You have a terrible chance to get CSE in jgec. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.
