Apart from neet you can give entranc exam of AIIMS and JIPMER since they are autonomous bodies.

Yes, In order to take admission in government colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER you need to appear for NEET exam.
Through NEET 15% quota seats, Government and private state level colleges and deemed universities will take admission.
To be eligibe for NEET make sure you should have 50% aggregate marks in P/C/B. There is a relaxation of marks for reserved categories.
Application form is expected to be released tentatively in the last week of January 2018.
