Hello, Joining bams college is good idea as it acts as a backup but it gives you a thought that you are already in college (i.e time is wasted in college examinations , attending classes etc).
Also if you want to pursue bams and then go for NEET. yes you are eligible for giving NEET in 2022.
Provided you are under the age limit and have scored required percentage in 12th boards i.e 50%(gen) and 45%(other categories) in PCB .The upper age limit for NEET UG 2020 for General category students is 25 years and 30 years for reserved category and PWD candidates.
Dropping a year for preparation is very common as the competition in NEET entrance exam is high. More than 60% of students at AIIMS and other medical colleges are droppers. Dropping a year doesn't matter at all in long run provided you study hard this year get into a good medical college next year.
