Dear Swara,

In order to become a good food technologist, you need to have completed a bachelor's degree in science with mainly food science and technology or nutrition from institute which conduct courses like B.E. or B.Sc. or B.Tech. Food Technology. Then you have to go for Masters Degree in M.E. or M.Sc. or PhD Food technology.

However Chemistry has major importance in Food Processing sector. Food chemistry is the study of chemical processes and interactions between all biological and non-biological components of foods. Food scientists work with the chemistry of ingredients in food to improve the quality and stability of the food. Moreover the scope of syllabus of food technologist involves Chemistry, food processing, food and vegetables processing and so on.

Hence it is advisable to grow interest in Chemistry, watch innovative videos regarding Chemistry experiments and then aim for being a good food technologist.

Hope it helps.
