IELTS is a test that persons from countries where English is not the first language must take in order to be admitted to an international university or to immigrate to a new country where English is the first language.
That's all there is to it. The goal of IELTS training schools is to prepare you to achieve a high score on the test. They don't teach English for the sole purpose of improving one's ability to communicate in it. They only focus on the test.
So, if you want to enhance your English in general, I recommend reading books, watching English movies and television programmes with subtitles, and then gradually moving on to watching without subtitles. Most importantly, let go of your fear. It makes no difference if it's bad. It is only through practise that you will improve.
