If in case student had studied biology even though it is optional than can he/she may appear for MBBS?
Yes, yes you are eligible for pursuing MBBS even if you have Biology as an additional /optional subject in your class 12 board examination.
This is because,
The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional / optional subject in 12th board is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for neet
Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-
* Qualification required :-As per Neet 2021 eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject
students who have passed 12th board examination with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement.
* Percentage required :- You must get
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
* Age limit :-to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021, no age limit as of now.
So, if you fulfill this Criteria then you are eligible for Neet examination and after qualifying neet you can get admission in MBBS as well

Definitely you can appear in neet if you have biology as a subject .you should work on your biology section as most of the paper is from tjis subject and its very very important for one to have a pretty well knowledge about that. but make sure physics and chemistry are also there in your core coarses as neet section comprise of 3 main subjects
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
