If L be the length of a bar magnet then seperation bet. the 2 poles is nearly____?
Hello Rohan,
I would like to tell you that the answer would be (6/7)L
It’s like a rule of thumb that the effective length of a bar magnet is considered to be around 85% of its geometrical length. Physically it signfies that in reality the magnetic poles do not resides at the ends of the bar magnet but a litlle inside them.
Hope this helps and all the very best!
