Mobile phones are allowed in almost every campus hostels.
But in the case of a school hostel, a mobile phone is prohibited.
Although it actually depends on the administration of your college, in common scenarios, there is no such restriction to use a smartphone in a college hostel because nowadays smartphone becomes an essential part of our daily life. It is really very important to have a smartphone, so considering this point college authority usually does not implement any strict instructions which you have to follow during staying in the college hostels, but still, the final decision depends on your college administration. It varies widely.
