Hey!

- Vision standard for Army candidates :

Distance vision ( corrected) - better eye: 6/6

Worse eye: 6/9

Myopia not more than -2.5d including astigmatism and Manifest.

Hypermetropia not more than +3.5d including astigmatism.

binocular vision- III

- For Air Force:

Candidates who habitually wear spectacles are not eligible for Air force.

Minimum distant vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other.  ( correctable to 6/6,but only for hyoermetropia)

Near vision must be N-5 in each eye.

- For Indian Navy :

Corrected with glass : 6/6

Uncorrected without glass: 6/12

Limit of Myopia: -1.5

Limit of Hypermetropia- +1.5

These are the limits set for vision test. If someone has weak eyesight beyond this limit then selection In NDA is not possible.but, if your son eagerly wants to join NDA then you can consult your eye specialist and seek his expertise.

All the best!

Hello,

For National Defense academy it is required that candidate must be able to read distant vision chart with better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/9. If you fail in the test you will not be eligibe to join NDA.

Myopia must not be more than -2.5D including astigmatism and manifest hypermetropia not more than +3.5D including Astigmatism.

So it is hard to tell if you can be eligible for applying for NDA.
