When the demand is high and the supply is less, the cost increases. Here the cost is the cut off. In 2019, in UP, 469 was the cut off for GMC while it increased by 150 marks and moved to 577 in 2019. This is about General Category and the cut offs increased inspite of the increase in the no.of Colleges at Basti, Ayodhya, etc. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
