If one gets a seat in a NIT , can he still join the csab counselling, expecting better branch ? Then what happens to the previous seat ? Does he have to withraw it or what ? And what abkut the deposited money ?
Hi,
Hope you are doing well. If you DO NOT REGISTER for Special Round, your current allotted seat from JoSAA Rounds will be cancelled and you will not be considered for the Special Rounds. This will be treated as Auto Withdrawal from the Counselling process. If you REPORT at the Allotted Institute and WITHDRAW your allotted seat, if you wish, at the same Institute. The Seat Acceptance Fee paid by you before the Special Round, will be refunded by CSAB after deducting Rs. 1,500/-. So, you can go for it. But, you have to withdraw the previous seat.
Hope this helps
