if someone gets detained in their graduation year does it mean they have to repeat the year

Dear candidate, in most of the cases if you get detained in your graduation year, you have to appear for the semester exam another time, you have to repeat the year and maintain your attendance to sit for the semester exams another time and clear it. However some universities does not check the attendance for the backlog students and they only ask the students to sit for the exams.

As per your query , I would glad to inform you that when someone fails in the semester which of non-final year in some subject ,then he/she can clear that exam in the next to next semester. But in final year's sem case its depends college to college some college to do have polices of giving attempt to students to clear the backlogs on the same year otherwise you have to repeat the year
