If someone has done graduation by giving prepratory exam in open university, can he give upsc exam?

Aspirants/candidates who aspire to become an IAS, IPS or IFS need to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Only those aspirants who register and apply in the prescribed UPSC online form will be allowed to sit in the exam.
Followed by the qualification in the written test, they are qualified for the mains. And on successfully qualifying the mains they are called for an individual interview.
The interview is taken by the top government officials including retired IAS/IPS officers.
How to apply:
- Visit the official website of UPSC –
- Click on the Exam Notifications tab.
- Click on Apply Online link.
- Click on the link available for Civil Services Part-I registration.
- Read the application form instructions carefully and click on Yes.
- Fill in all basic information in the part-I application form
- Check the preview & press continue and submit.
Eligibility criteria for the same:
- age: 21 to 32 years( age relaxation as per category )
- attempts for each category: 06 ( General and EWS ) ; 09 (OBC) ; SC/ST ( Upto age limit )
- Indian citizenship
Graduation from any recognized university is the educational qualification.
So, if any aspirant/candidate graduates from an open University, it has to be well recognised and affiliated to well known affiliations.
