Thanks for responding Priyaanka, Both parents are Maharashtra State domicile, the student has Maharashtra birth certificate and Maharashtra Domicile, both parents are not central or state govt or defence background. I work in a private company and my wife is a home maker

priyaankasarkar Priyaanka, I watched the webinar #3 on Maharashtra and Prabha Dhavala from your office said that Domicile and 10th and 12th need to be from Maharashtra state to qualify for Maharashtra quota, which is not there in my daughter's case, I am now quite confused if she is eligible or not, can you pl. clarify

There are 5 ways you can fulfil the domicile of Maharashtra:

Maharashtra State Candidature Type: A

1.You should have passed your SSC and HSC from the State of Maharashtra.

2. You should have domicile certificate from the State of Maharashtra or born in Maharashtra and have a birth certificate mentioning the place of birth which is in Maharashtra State.

Maharashtra State Candidature Type: B

1.You should have passed your SSC and HSC from the State of Maharashtra.

2. Your father or mother have domicile certificate from the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Candidature Type: C

1.You should have passed your SSC and HSC from the State of Maharashtra.

2. Your father or mother is an employee of the Govt. of India or Govt. of India undertaking who is posted and reported to duty in the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Candidature Type: D

1.You should have passed your SSC and HSC from the State of Maharashtra.

2. Your father or mother is an employee of the Govt. of Maharashtra or Govt. of Maharashtra undertaking.

Maharashtra State Candidature Type: E

1.You should have passed your SSC and HSC from a recognised Institution from a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border.

2. Your mother tongue should be Marathi and you should have a domicile/birth certificate from Maharashtra or Disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka border area.

Your child is born in Maharashtra and so she has her Birth certificate from Maharashtra. Now those Candidates who haven't completed their 10th and 12th from Maharashtra but do hold the domicile of the State can participate in the State Counselling by producing the domicile certificate. In your daughter's case, she would be neither eligible for the UP or Telangana State Counselling. She can only be eligible for Maharashtra State Counselling.
