Hello

If minor axis of an ellipse is equal to the distance between it's foci the eccentricity is 1/ square root of 2

Distance between the foci  2 ae

Length of the minor axis = 2b

2ae =2b

ae= b

b square = a square (1-e square)

a2e2=a2-a2e2

2 a2e2 = a2

e2= 1/2

Hence e = 1/√2
