If the student has a diploma and graduation he didn't have 12th, after 10th he took the diploma and bachelor degree engineering, is he eligible for AFCAT?
Hello Aditya,
To begin with, it must be noted that educational qualifications required are different for different branches of AFCAT.
Mainly there are 3 branches for AFCAT:
- Flying Branch
- Ground Duty (Technical): Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) & Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical).
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Administration and logistics & Logistics.
In Ground Duty(Non-Technical) branch, 12th score is NOT required. Whereas, in rest of the branches, 12th score is required with a minimum of 60% each in Physics and Mathematics.
So, the student who didn't appear for 12th examination, is eligible for AFCAT, only in Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branch.
