Hello

Yes, It has been announced by HRD Minister that your NEET 2021 will be conducted with reduced syllabus because students are not able to study as both schools and coachings are closed due to lock down caused by covid -19 , and when educational institution will open , the time left will be very less to cover the complete syllabus , syllabus has  been reduced.

But reduction in syllabus has nothing to do with increase in toughness or cut off marks , Your neet 2021 question paper will have have more or less same difficulty level similar to previous years.

Also , your cutoff marks has nothing to do with the reduced syllabus it will depend upon various factors like

  • number of students that appeared in the exam,
  • kind of marks obtained by them ,
  • toughness level of the examination etc

So, you don't need to worry about the things at all just focus on your neet 2021 preparation.

Thank you

If the syllabus is reduced, more questions are asked from the same topics which means the weightage of each topic goes higher. While we cannot predict the difficulty of the exam yet, it narrows down the preparation because that way you needn't study a whole lot of 10-15 chapters but can concentrate only on selected topics. So we need to wait and watch until the new and revised syllabus is released. If the exam is tougher, cut offs will be lowered and vice versa. So eitherways, to balance the no.of seats to the no.of Candidates applying, the cut offs will always be fluctuating. The best thing at this point in time is to stick to NCERT books and mock tests. That way you do not read what is out of syllabus and focus on the topics that are needed alone.
