If there is no seat allotment in wbjee according to SC rank , then why SC rank given ?

Seat Allotments shall take place tgrough GMR rankings only for engineering.
SC ranks given to understand your standings and possibilities.
Candidates need to however submit Caste certificate as SC and ST category have different reservation of seats and according they are filled.
