Hello,
The formula to calculate area of the trapezium is 1/2x(B1+B2)xH
where B1 is the base one, B2 is base two and H is the height between the two parallel lines or distance between two parallel lines.When the area when calculated with the given values will be 43H cm^2.
Hello Aspirant,
The formula for calculating area of a trapezium is-
= (Sum of parallel sides)*height/2
Since the height of the trapezium is not given then the area will be calculated in terms of height.
Area= 43h
where h= height
Question : The difference between the length of two parallel sides of a trapezium is 12 cm. The perpendicular distance between these two parallel sides is 60 cm. If the area of the trapezium is 1380 cm2, then find the length of each of the parallel sides (in cm).
Question : The area of a trapezium-shaped field is 1785 square feet. The distance between the two parallel sides is 35 feet and one of the parallel sides is 42 feet long. What is the length of the other parallel side?
Question : The lengths of the two parallel sides of a trapezium are 28 cm and 40 cm. If the length of each of its other two sides is 12 cm, then the area (in cm2) of the trapezium is:
