Hi Amisha,

Yes, you can definitely apply for IAS if you are a computer science engineer. For that, once you have completed your engineering degree, you have to answer an entrance exam called UPSC. Note that, in the optional subject for UPSC, there is no CSE. Therefore, I would recommend you to go through the list of optional subjects and select a subject which you can prepare better for. Hello,

The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for UPSC exam is there the candidate must have a degree from a recognised University, so if you have a degree in Computer Science Engineering then you are eligible to appear for UPSC exam, also the maximum age limit for general category candidate is 32 years and and the total number of attempts allowed for the general category candidate are 6 attempts.
