Hi nithish ,NEET exam is mandatory if you want to take admission in medical college in India.you have to give the exam as well as to qualify in order to make yourself eligible for counselling process, there is nothing to do with class 12th marks. So,whether you score 550 or 500 you have to give neet in order to seek admission in medical and paramedical seat.

Hello Nithish,

Your marks in class 12th is only required for your eligibility to appear in NEET examination.

You have to compulsorily write neet examination if you wish to get a seat in medical, dental, veterinary and few other courses.

One just needs to score a minimum of 50% in class 12th if you belong to general category and a minimum of 40% for obc/ sc/ st category...to appear for NEET examination.

I hope this helps.

All the best for the future!!
