Jee advance has already mentioned the above issue.You need to visit jee advance site then proceed to certificate formate in that select ews.You will get to know that we may upload a certificate stating that we will upload the ews certificate befire 5 june.So iits have given time till 5 June.

First of all looks like EWS certificate process has flaws.
We should use Aadhar and PAN card mandatory to classify as EWS. Then we will get real EWS and it is easy to track. Otherwise Thasildar will be benefitted since we have to run behind them

I am also suffering same problem.I have filled ews in jee mains form.. Now I will have to put ews certificate and there is no service to make our ews certificate..Am I unable to fill jee advance application form???Please someone answer me .I am worried about it.. Is there any choice to only now put income certificate in jee advance form..
Don't worry you can fill jee adv formIf you will not upload your ews certificate you will be considered as general candidate

Just now I have received ews certificate.i went to college to upload ews certificate.but upload option not there.at time of mains application ews option was not there.so what can I do.

I am also do the same as shivani do.But in first steps of jee adv. I declared my self that i have not a valid proof of ews category but in second step it shows that we have to attach the ews certificate along with 10 certificate so you just attach anything to ews column it does not matter and your second steps is filled.

K 1st step me ye fill up kia hai ki aap k pass ews ka koi bhi document available nhi hai to aap General category me consider kie jaaoege aur aap ki percemtile General category ki cutt off se jyada honi chahiye then in next step aap ko documents me 10 class certificate upload karna hoga uss ke niche ews ke certificate ki image upload krne ko bolega jo aap k pass nahi hai uss me aap kuch bhi upload kar do uss se koi farak nhi pdega. Sir, l was not knowing about ews criteria so I haven't applied in jee mains , so my cutoff is not cleared but in ews it is cleared and i do fall in this category, so now can my rank be changed ????

Try to reach out to MHRD as this is the first time we going for EWS and have no idea and were unaware of the way it might be applicable or not and Han try to mail bta and jeemains for this and ask as many people as you can so that they gotta notice this issue regarding EWS...Best wishes guyzz

Hi All, I am facing the same problem of not able to update EWS category in JEE main because of no communication from NTA in this regard. The EWS category option was not available at the time of April JEE main application. I have already started EWS certificate process because I knew it will be needed later, I did not know that category change is needed in JEE Main, no email/SMS communication received from NTA. I have EWS certificate now, I belong to village in Panipat (district) in Haryana. I have been sending email to all IITs and HRD ministry for last couple of days. Most of the students are facing same problem.my observation NTA and IIT people are not responding.any body in Delhi or nearby approach to supreme Court no time.
Hello my friend,First I want to tell that I am going through this situation and I mentioned ews in jee mains form and now my certificate is under process and I think that the certificate of mine will come after the filling of jee advance form and I am unable to upload the certificate while filling the jee advance form. Its final processh creates problem , which is getting certificate number from DM. And it is surely not implemented in haryana. So , no orders there and no certificate. If u get it , tell me .

You should take your form back
Ews means
1.family gross annual income below 8lakhs
2.your caste is not under obc st and sc
3.you have land less than 5 acres
4.you dont have residential more than 1000sq ft
Above mentioned category you have to produce all the 4 certificate before co or tehsildar then he will check that you are eligible or not. Its a very long process it may take upto 1 months or more
You have to make many affidavit for this

What will the effect of ews category on obc student in getting college?

ews category is only for students from general category not from obc sc and st.IF you want to change it you have an option to change now in jee mains website

Dear Shreechandan,
NTA (National Testing Agency) has issued a notice declaring applicability of 10% Economically weaker section reservation in JEE main 2019. to implement this,NTA will need to know about the eligible candidates beloning to EWS category.Hence ,they are advised to mark themselves such in the application form.
if you will not provide the EWS (Economically weaker section) certificate, you will not get the 10% benefit of reservation that comes under the category of EWS during the JEE Advance.

Dear Jatin,No,they will not do like that ,but at the time of counseling you have to give ews certificate i would like to give the suggestion that at the time of counseling carry all the document and do the at least 5 zerox copy of all the document hope it will help you.

Dear Rahul, I would like to tell you that this is the first time ews reservation have implemented by government.According to me, NTA does not take the certificate of ews that time (when you are filling the application form) only they do mark the ews reservation in the jee main application form. Dear kundan,First of all i would like to tell you that there is no caste certificate for general category.Now Coming to EWS point,for ews reservation only you have to mark in jee main application form and EWS is totaly based on Economical weaker candidate. this is not based on caste,it is totally income based.if your family income is below 8 lacs per annum then you can take advantage of it.hope you will understan it.

@brahmanand sir it is not possible to get ewa certificate in the desired time...so how would they implement such quota...a majority would be surely unable to present the certificate

Hello dear!
According to the notification released by NTA for the economical weaker section category.
The candidate who fall under this category have to update his jee main application form. The certificate will not be uploaded during the registration of jee main portal but he has to upload the required certificate during the registration of Jee Advanced portal.
If you will not upload the certificate during the registration of Jee Advanced portal, you are not eligible to gain the benefits of EWS during the seat allotment through Jossa counseling.
