Admission in the following courses is accepted on the basis of valid state/national level entrance exam scores.
- For the undergraduate programmes in engineering, the Institute accepts JEE Main/WBJEE scores. On the other hand,GATEscores are accepted for post-graduate programmes in engineering and technology.For programmes in planning and architecture, the institute accepts NATA scores.
- The admission to MSc programme is done in two ways. Fifty percent ofthe seats are filled through CCMN the centralised body to conduct amission and counselling to MSc programme for many NITs and CFTIs with JAM as a mandatory requirement. The other fifty percent seats are filled through an admission test which is conducted by IIEST itself
